Founder biography
Dave Amels is an audio designer, musician, record producer, and studio builder whose work spans electronic musical instruments, mathematically modeled audio software, and analog recording equipment. Since the late 1980s, he has designed hardware and software for musicians and recording engineers while working in studios and performing as a keyboardist. In 2026, he founded Amels Audio in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey, to create original hardware for musicians and recording studios.
